Coconut scones
INGREDIENTS
- 2 cups wheat flour
- 1/2 cup desiccated coconut
- 1/4 cup white sugar
- 1/2 cup margarine
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
STEPS
- Preheat the oven to 180C
- In a large bowl add dry ingredients ie flour, coconut, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt. Then whisk well.
- Add in dry ingredients, and rub it with your fingers until you get a crumbly mixture.
- Add vanilla, eggs, and milk then mix until a dough is formed.
- Use a tablespoon to scoop out the dough and Place the dough balls in a prepared baking tray.
- Bake in a preheated oven for 30 minutes or until golden brown.
- Remove from oven, let them cool and enjoy
